Many a good idea, strategic or otherwise, simply stops at "it can't be done," mostly out of fear of failure, i.e., "What if I spend all that time, effort, and money and nothing comes of it?"

Over at slashdot, there's a fascinating discussion that centers around the ownership of the self-portraits taken by a crested black macaque that grabbed a photographer's camera away from him.
